The first post!
Hello world! This is the innaugural post on the new blog for the Never Never Land farm in Ecuador. They don't have internet access from the farm (they're well off the grid) but when folks get to internet every once and a while they'll keep you updated with what is going on. Those of us who've been there love both it and Tina (the owner/caretaker/resident hippy). And those who haven't been yet have a great experience to look forward to. It's a wonderfully welcoming place to be.
I found the farm as a travelling volunteer through WWOOF (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) but as soon as I met Tina felt like I was visiting a farm of a cool friend I've known forever... who just happened to go get some land in Ecuador and start something magical. It's a wonderful place to visit, for WWoofers or anyone else who has the inclination.
I hope this site becomes something that strangers use to get a sense of what Never Never Land is, and that veterans can check every once and while to see what's going on in Ecuadors little piece of Paradise.

Hi All! I am, as always, in haste. But this page was so nice I just had to comment. I am going to begin replying to all emails with questions on this page, so watch for more stuff here. At the moment everyone should know we are trying to get some horses, we have now two goats, too small to have babies yet, but its coming! The rock foundation you can see in the photos has the beginnings of cob going on and we hope to have another, nicer, bigger house soon. Well, in a while. There are volunteers on the farm every day, from every where. The gardens are pumping out, but sometimes we have 10-11 people for dinner, so it is hard to maintain full sustainability, as always I am seeking gardeners and seed, anyone coming this way please bring any seeds you can!
If you do come, please try to bring a dictionary if you are not fluent in Spanish. This helps you communicate with our neighbors and friends more readily! If you are coming before mid May be prepared for some rain, it should slack off soon but we have seen rain almost daily. Rain slickers are nice to have, I keep having to give mine away!
I look forward to meeting all of you who want to visit. Keep in mind when you come to NNL you become owner of the farm while you are there, the things you do and put in place will be there when and if you return. You cannot mess up here, you can only learn. Thanks Micah for the lovely words and pages! Peace to all, Tina
